Education
and Training
Trained
over 3500 people in wireless WAN design, deployment and
support.
Network
Design Projects
In
1995 we designed, deployed and operated one of the very
first broadband wireless ISPs (WISPs) in the world. This
network served the Silicon Valley area of Northern California.
Assisted
in the design, deployment and support of hundreds of point-to-multipoint
wireless ISP (WISP) networks.
Assisted
in the design, deployment and support of many point-to-point
wireless links for businesses, schools, WISPs and government
agencies.
Performed
wireless, physical site surveys, coverage studies and path
studies at hundreds of locations between 1993 and 2009.
Consulting
Projects
Performed
pre-purchase audits of WISPs that were merger and acquisition
candidates.
Reviewed
and evaluated RFP responses from vendors for a citywide
muni wireless networking project.
Served
as the principle RF consultant to design and deploy an indoor
wireless LAN to stream multimedia information to handheld
PDAs for guests at the largest public art museum west of
the Mississippi River.
Performed
technical audits to determine if license-free wireless access
points were radiating at higher-than-legal power levels.
Advised
business entrepreneurs regarding the viability of specific
wireless business opportunities.
Writing
and Editing Projects
We
planned and wrote the first and the only broadband wireless
WAN deployment handbook. Our book was published by Cisco
Press in 2003.
Provided
technical writing and editing services for hundreds of wireless
WAN, LAN and telecommunications books.
Co-wrote
or wrote over 25 FCC wireless position filings.
Troubleshooting
and Repair
We
diagnosed numerous outdoor wireless WAN performance issues
and made recommendations that restored reliable, high-throughput
operation.
Wireless
Mobile
Provided
design and deployment services for bus and train mobile
wireless systems.
Expert
Witness Services
We
presented expert witness testimony in court cases during
WISP vs. WISP interference disputes in 2004 and 2007.
